The event is part of a study day honoring Melania Mazzucco.
The appointment is for io Thursday, April 10, 5:30 p.m., to discuss "Silence. The Seven Lives of Diana Karenne." The author tells the story of one of the queens of Italian silent films of the golden years. The book will be the focus of Melania Mazzucco's dialogue with Marco Bazzocchi (Visiting Professor at the De Sanctis Chair) and Tatiana Crivelli (Ordinaria of Italian Literature at UZH), which will be followed by a screening of Miss Dorothy, a 1920 film starring Diana Karenne.
The event is part of a day of studies honoring Melania Mazzucco, the first part of which (2 p.m. - 5 p.m.) will feature three international scholars and scholars presenting papers on Mazzucco's relationship with the archive and the visual arts, in the presence of the writer.
