A Scent of Toscano

Attilio Toscano is big, smokes a cigar, loves jokes, motorcycles, good food, the sea. And he is a policeman. He lives in Scilla, 23 kilometers from Reggio Calabria. He is able to attract two things: trouble and women, not necessarily in that order. When he meets Silvia Fantolin, the most beautiful woman he has ever met, they both come, together. For with her he begins a passionate relationship. Before he knows she is married. Before he knows that her husband is Antonio Andreasso, the hero par excellence, the star of the anti-mafia. And before he realizes that there are hitmen ready to kill them both, he and Silvia, in order to strike at her husband's heart and reputation. And this is just the beginning of his problems. And of his story.

Roberto Perrone returns to the novel and does so by creating a new unforgettable character, seductive, rebellious, ironic and heroic in spite of himself, and by bringing to life many other wonderful co-protagonists and co-stars. With an overwhelming narrative rhythm, Perrone confirms his unique and unmistakable talent, giving the reader an extraordinary noir that knows how to thrill, amuse, frighten, and strike straight to the heart.
