Tennis is perhaps the sport that has engaged in the most successful duels with literature. From Nabokov to Foster Wallace, generations of writers have helped build the imagery of a unique sport, at once elegant and popular, thrilling and silent, scorching and icy as its champions: McEnroe and Borg, Lendl and Chang, Agassi and Sampras, Nadal and Federer, Djokovic. From this realization, the idea of an anthology of short stories about tennis was born, which come to life thanks to fifteen of the most relevant writers on the Italian literary scene: Stancanelli, Veronesi, Perroni, Parrella, Nesi, Missiroli, Llera Moravia, Garrone-Albinati, Falco, Covacich, Colombati, Codignola, Brera, Andreose, Abbate.
