Flying Hen
Carla, a teacher of literature in a Turin high school, is the narrator of this novel. At the centre of the story are the everyday problems the protagonist has to deal with, but above all the intense and profound relationship she establishes with one of her particularly sensitive and intelligent pupils, Tanni. A complicity is born between them that will lead the young girl to confess a difficult family situation, with her mother who has left, her father who has some problems with alcohol and a younger brother to look after. And it is only with her that Carla will share an apparently crazy project, to which she has devoted time and passion: that of flying the chickens she raises in her garden.
