Damiano and Fabio D'Innocenzo were born in Rome on July 14, 1988. They spend their childhood drawing, writing and taking photographs. Without any academic training, they script and direct their first film La Terra Dell'Abbastanza, presented in 2018 at the Berlin Film Festival and with which they won the Nastro d'Argento. In 2020 they released their second film, Favolacce, which won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay at the Berlin Film Festival and the Silver Ribbon. America Latina, their third feature film, is presented in 2021 in Competition at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. They signed the screenplay for Dogman (2018, directed by Matteo Garrone); published the book of poems Mia madre è un’arma (2019), the photographic volume Farmacia notturna (2020) and Trilogia (2022), which collects the screenplays of their feature films. A short story is featured in the anthology Data di nascita (2022). They are at work on their first television series, Dostoevsky.
