Serena Danna was born in Avellino. She started her career as a journalist in 2003 at il manifesto. She has written for Il Sole 24 Ore’s online edition, for its opinion pages, and its Sunday cultural supplement and then for Corriere della Sera and Vanity Fair. She has contributed to The Guardian and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. In 2011 she edited the book Prodotto Interno Mafia. She is now deputy director of online newspaper Open.
