Marco Varvello is in charge of RAI's British Correspondence Office. Graduated in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Milan, he began his journalistic career at the dailies 'La Notte' and 'Il Giornale', then under the direction of Indro Montanelli. In RAI he was a presenter on TG1 and editor of Enzo Biagi's programme 'Il Fatto'. At TG1 he worked in the economic news department, then in the foreign affairs department. Based in the United States, he was a correspondent in London and Berlin for many years. He is an adviser to ISPI (Istituto Studi Politica Internazionale) and a member of the board of the Italian-German cultural centre Villa Vigoni, and has received the Foreign Press Awards from the London Foreign Press. He has published Dimentica le Mille e una notte (Fabbri 2005, the French edition won the Ado-Lisant literary prize), Brexit Blues (Mondadori 2019), Londra Anni Venti (Bompiani 2022), Passo falso (Rai Libri 2023).
