Maurizio Fiorino is a writer and photographer born in Crotone. After spending his teenage years in Calabria, he moved to Bologna where he attended DAMS, then to New York where he studied storytelling at the International Center of Photography. He has exhibited his work in several galleries and frequented New York art circles for over a decade. In 2014 he made his fiction debut with the novel Amodio, followed two years later by Fondo Gesù. He then published Ora che sono Nato (2019), Macello (2021) and Autoritratto newyorkese (2023). Over the years he has written articles for The Guardian, La Lettura and Il Foglio, among others.
