Attilio Facchini

Born in Sora about 40 years ago, give or take a year. He began by writing screenplays for short films, after which he turned to fiction.
A finalist of the Subway Prize twice in a row, in 2010 with the short story Mater Pia and in 2011 with the short story Nel nome della madre, in 2012 he won the selection for Lazio for the La Giara Prize, organized by RAI, with the unpublished novel La malattia del signor L ,with which he also reached the finals in the literary tournament Io scrittore, 2013 edition.
In December 2016, he published the collection of novellas entitled La Terra dei Ciclopi (Alcheringa Publisher ). In 2017, the novel Un segreto ben custodito (Libromania), written four hands with Marco Caudullo.
The short story The Player received honorable mention at the Gianfrancesco Straparola Award 2022, and honorable mention at the Set Art National Literary Award 2023.
The short story A Christmas Carol received the Special Award at the La Compagnia Literary Competition, 2023.
The unpublished novel The Magic Circle, won the third place at the City of Siena Fiorenza Mannucci Literary Prize 2023, and received the Sandomenichino Selection Prize 2023.
With the novel The Magic Circle, he won the 14th Giana Anguissola National Literary Competition and the special prize Libertà awarded by the Piacenza newspaper of the same name.
The Magic Circle will be published in 2024 under the title Like a Dandelion and marks and it's the author's debut in children's fiction.
